Agricultural production, agricultural policy, natural resource and environmental economics, applied econometrics, and experimental economics

Primary research interests include production and risk with an emphasis on the adoption and regulation of emerging technologies. Technologies of recent investigation include genetically engineered herbicide tolerant crops, genetically engineered plant-incorporated-protectants, disease resistance crops and information intensive farm management. Additional interests include the understanding of individual differences in risky behavior and the increasing importance of hired labor in agriculture.
