Tenure Track Faculty Positions
- Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, Agribusiness Management and Information Systems and E. Fred Koller Chair. Tenure-track, 9-month, 100% time, research and teaching appointment. The rank and tenure status will depend on qualifications and experience consistent with collegiate and University policy. The successful candidate will provide leadership for Agribusiness Management and Information Systems research and teaching programs and engage interested parties inside and outside the University to inform and enhance the research and education activities in this field. The successful candidate will hold the title of E. Fred Koller Endowed Chair. Essential qualifications: Ph.D. in applied economics, agricultural economics, economics, or a closely related field; outstanding record of scholarly research in the area of applied economics, agribusiness management, finance, marketing, industrial organization or risk analysis, or the economics of information systems; and compelling writing and oral communication skills for professional and nonprofessional audiences. Desired qualifications: Established record of peer reviewed publications; highly successful record in research, teaching and leadership in academic programs and grant execution; demonstrated expertise in the application of economic theories and quantitative methods in the analysis of agribusiness management, risk analysis and information systems; demonstrated success in working with multi-disciplinary research teams; demonstrated experience and leadership in outreach programs; demonstrated experience in preparing successful grant proposals; demonstrated experience in advising graduate students and/or post doctorial fellows; understanding of and expertise with the international dimensions of agribusiness management and organization; experience in raising funds for program and student support in addition to research grants; and demonstrated engagement and impact with industry, government and/or policy communities. - Assistant or Associate Professor, Energy Economics
Tenure-track, 9-month, 100% time, research and extension appointment. Required: PhD in agricultural economics, applied economics, economics or a closely related field by the date of appointment. Job responsibilities include: (a) Develop an integrated research and Extension program on energy economics focusing on topics such as: energy policy, economics of biofuels and other renewable energy techonologies, community based energy sytems, energy conservation., linkages between energey markets and agricultural commodity markets, and linkages between energy and climate change. (be) Provide leadership for Extnesion and outreach programs on energy policy and mangement issues. (c) Work with interdisciplinary teams, drawing upon expertise in biological sciences, engineering, policy studies, and other areas at the University, to analyze the costs and benefits of existing and newly-emerging energy sources.
