The McNamara Alumni Center is located on the East Bank of the University of Minnesota Campus.
It is just 10 minutes from downtown Minneapolis and 15 minutes from downtown St. Paul.

Directions and Parking

Note: The following directions direct guests to the University Avenue Ramp, and not the front entrance to the McNamara Alumni Center. Once inside the parking ramp, take the elevator to tunnel or street level, then follow the signs to the McNamara Alumni Center. The University Avenue Ramp charges $2.75 per hour. A second tunnel connects the Center to the Radisson Hotel, which is adjacent to the Washington Avenue Parking Ramp.

From the north, heading south on 35W

1. Take Exit #18, 4th St-University Ave exit. Cross 4th Street SE; turn left on University Ave SE.
2. Drive 9 blocks to the University Avenue Parking Ramp on right side of street.

From the south, heading north on 35W

1. From 35W heading North, follow signs to I94 heading East.
2. Follow directions below for I94.

From the east or west on I94

1. Take University of Minnesota/Huron Boulevard Exit #235B.
2. Follow Huron Boulevard five blocks and turn left onto University Avenue (stop light).
    The road will then curve to the right and merge with 4th Street SE.
3. After you pass Williams Arena, drive 2 blocks to 18th Avenue SE and turn left on 18th Avenue.
4. Drive 1 block to University Avenue SE and turn left on University (one-way).
5. Immediately get into right lane; drive 1-1/2 blocks to University Avenue Parking Ramp on right.

Other Parking Options

* The Oak St. entrance to the McNamara Alumni Center accommodates drop-offs with a 20 minute limit.

* Two 15-minute meters are at the Oak St. entrance.

* University Avenue Parking Ramp is located north west of the Center. An tunnel connects the McNamara Center to the ramp   (see directions above). The ramp charges $2.75 per hour. Note: University Avenue is a one-way street heading east.

* Washington Avenue Parking Ramp is adjacent to the Radisson Hotel. A tunnel connects the McNamara Center to the hotel.   Parking at this ramp is $2.75 per hour.

* Metered street parking is available along Oak and Walnut Streets.

* Two handicapped parking spaces are available at the Center's entrance on Oak Street.
