- **October 8 - This is notice that there will not be a Department of Applied Economics Seminar on Thursday, October 8, but please join us for the Reception and Award Commencement Ceremony for Harry Kaiser, a 1985 Ph.D. graduate of the Department of Applied Economics. He will receive the University of Minnesota's Outstanding Achievement Award. The Award and Commencement Ceremony will be held on Thursday, October 8 at 3:00 pm in the Cargill Building.
