We trace our roots into the traditional academic field of agricultural economics where we still have great strength. Our faculty expertise now spans a wide range of areas, including: agribusiness management, behavioral economics, commodity marketing, consumer demand analysis and household economics, development economics, economic education, environmental and resource economics, food marketing, health economics, industrial organization, international trade, public finance, regional economics, science and technology policy, and transportation economics. The common thread in all we do is a dedication to rigorous application of economics concepts and tools to “real-world” problems associated with the analysis, design, or
management of physical and social systems.
