He is an Adjunct Member of the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs.

Currently funded research projects include: Macro-Micro economic linkages to water in developing countries; Policies affecting the comparative advantage of U.S. agriculture in world markets; Effectiveness of U.S. agricultural policy instruments to provide decoupled income support over time; The interest of LDC's in the next round of agricultural trade  negotiations under the WTO.
