Sylvia is one of the Information Technology Professionals (ITPs) for the College of Food, Agriculture and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS). She is assigned to the Department of Applied Economics and provides computer support for all faculty, staff and students in the Department, including e-mail and printer support, computer hardware purchasing and maintenance, software purchasing and licensing, training, graduate student computer lab support, database applications, inventory, audio-visual equipment and liaison with the University's network and telecommunications services (NTS) department.
She assists with the Applied Economics web page server support and design. She is co-chair of the Department's Computer Services Committee.
CFANS Working Group assignments include Alloy Navigator (the College Help Desk software), Student Lab and Web/Communications.
She has been captain of the Department's bowling team, Economic Forces, for several years and served on the Executive Committee of the St. Paul Faculty Bowling Association.
