Agricultural marketing, futures markets and prices, agricultural cooperatives

Research interests are economic analysis of structural change and performance of the U.S. grain marketing system, and the economics of futures markets and prices.

He has served as a consultant on agricultural marketing in several developing countries and Chief of Party and Economist for the University of Minnesota in Tunisia under contract with U.S.A.I.D. He also was an economist for the Soybean Council of America in Brussels, Belgium. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Minneapolis Grain Exchange and the Board of Trustees of the American Institute of Cooperation.
