National Ag Risk Education Library
This site is "...a major component of the USDA's Risk Management Education (RME) program. The library organizes thousands of risk management materials which help producers and agricultural professionals quickly locate information, tools, and assistance on specifc risk management topics. The Library includes several major components including: Ag Risk Library (Main Library) - This is the core of the Library, containing over 2,000 documents organized by production, marketing, financial, legal, and human risk topics; Specialty Crop Library - Organized like the Main Library, it contains documents specifically related to specialty crops; Budget Library - Offering more than 2,750 crop budgets representing over 280 crops and more than 425 livestock budgets. National Agricultural Law Center Reading Rooms
The National Agricultural Law Center's Library has created a set of subject-based Reading Rooms. "Each reading room contains a comprehensive list of current electronic resources for an agricultural or food law topic. Links are provided to major statutes, regulations, case law, Federal Register Digest reports, Center-published research articles and bibliographies, government publications, Congressional publications, and numerous other research resources. Agricultural Outlook
Agricultural Outlook was published 10 times per year by the Economic Research Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture. Besides feature articles on agricultural topics, each issue also included a set of economic indicators for the agricultural economy. Agricultural Outlook was replaced by Amber Waves in 2003, but the statistical indicators are still updated on this web site.

USDA Economics, Statistics and Market Information System (ESMIS)
The USDA Economics, Statistics and Market Information System (ESMIS) is a collaborative project between Albert R. Mann Library at Cornell University and several agencies of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The system contains nearly 2500 reports and datasets. These materials cover U.S. and international agriculture and related topics. Available titles include both current and historical data. Many of the current titles are available via email subscription.
USDA Foreign Agricultural Service
The FAS site has many valuable resources for agricultural economists. The "Hot Country Pages" include recent press releases, attache reports, and export/import statistics by country. The "Commodities and Products" pages give comprehensive commodity by commodity breakdown of exports and imports. The "Attache Reports" are available for 130 countries and may be searched by keyword.
USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service
The NASS website has links to data and publications on the agricultural situation in the United States. Historical data and graphical presentations of data are available. The Census of Agriculture is published by NASS and is available in PDF format. AMAD - Agricultural Market Access Database
"AMAD results from a co-operative effort by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, EU Commission - Agriculture Directorate General, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, The World Bank, United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, and United States Department of Agriculture - Economic Research Service. Cost and Return Studies for California
The University of California, Davis has posted their current and archived copies of cost and return studies for a broad range of commodities produced in California. Studies can be sorted by commodity, production region, or county within California. All studies are available in pdf format. Selected studies are also available in spreadsheet format. Studies date back to 1931.

FAPRI (Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute) Databases
"FAPRI's interactive databases include Commodities Database which "provides historical and projected information for several countries, products and variables (such as acreage, yield, and demand)...The Elasticities Database is a storehouse of elasticity values from the FAPRI model estimates. The Agricultural Policy Database provides historical and projected agricultural policy information for the countries covered by the FAPRI models."
Food Availability (Per Capita) Data System
"ERS food availability (per capita) data system includes three distinct but related data series on food consumption. The data serve as popular proxies for actual consumption. Food availability data are now available through 2005 at the national level. Also included are data on nutrient availability in the food supply and data on loss-adjusted food availability. This latter data series uses dietary recommendations from the 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans and its supporting guidance document MyPyramid Plan.

GATS
GATS is "the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service's Global Agricultural Trade System. GATS includes international agricultural, fish, forest and textile production trade statistics dating from the inception of the Harmonized coding system in 1989 to present."
International Macroeconomic Data Set
"The international macroeconomic data set provides data from 1969 through 2017 for real (adjusted for inflation) Gross Domestic Product (GDP), population, real exchange rates, and other variables for the 190 countries and 34 regions that are most important for U.S. agricultural trade."
LDP Information
The University of Iowa, Center for Agricultural and Rural Development provides this interactive Loan Deficiency Payments Database that includes "several options for checking LDP's of several crops by state and county. It also provides targeted marketing strategy information for corn and soybeans based on your crop's current LDP rate." State of the Land
This site from the Natural Resources Conservation Service, provides data and analysis on land use, soil erosion, water quality, wetlands, and other issues regarding the conservation and use of natural resources. USAID Data: Horn of Africa Famine Response Data
The data from the Famine Early Warning System is used to create a set of maps that highlight information about the famine in the Horn of Africa. Data and maps include price data, food security conditions, livelihood zones data, vegetation index and rainfall estimates.

Census Atlas of the United States
"...the first comprehensive atlas of population and housing produced by the Census Bureau since the 1920s. Global Education Database (GED)
"The GED includes education data from UNESCO and the DHS. UNESCO data include a broad range of indicators, including data on tertiary education, and are available as time series. The DHS, by contrast, has more detail about primary and secondary education and disaggregates some data into urban versus rural areas. However, as the DHS data are based on surveys in particular countries, time series data are not available. "The Statistical Consulting Service provides statistical help for researchers at the University of Minnesota. Founded in 1972, the consulting service has worked on literally thousands of projects with University researchers. We get questions that can be answered on the spot and harder research questions that can take months or even years of collaboration between the center staff and other university researchers. We provide service to all parts of the University. Since most of our funding is from the Minnesota Agricultural Experiment Station, researchers and students affiliated with the MAES receive priority for our service. University researchers are generally not charged for our services. We also receive funding from the College of Liberal Arts."
