Transportation economics, agricultural marketing and logistics.
Current research includes national and international logistic and
transportation requirements for agricultural commodities, financing of
transportation infrastructures, the management of rural road systems,
grain transportation and marketing, the economics of biomass energy
systems, and the economics of solid waste disposal.
Activities include NC-224, the North Central Regional Committee on
Competitiveness and Value-Added in the U.S. Grain and Oilseed Industry.
Publications include articles in the American Journal of Agricultural Economics and the Journal of the Transportation Research Forum.
