The College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences became reality on July 1, 2006. It is a merging of the College of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences, the College of Natural Resources and the Department of Food Sciences and Nutrition. 

It is the goal of the new CFANS Alumni Society to maintain the legacy, purpose and values of our predecessor groups while moving towards a merged strength and purpose. The Alumni Society has approximately 2,700 members. All graduates, students and friends of the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences and their earlier incarnations are eligible for active membership in the Society.
